According to the flight inspection plan for the first phase of the 2024-2025 flight season approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV), the ILS/DME equipment system at runway end 28 at Phu Quoc International Airport is expected to perform a flight inspection test on July 17, 2024.
To ensure the integrity and reliability of the signal emitted into space by the Localizer 28 equipment meets ICAO requirements for aircrafts approaches using CAT I ILS/ DME equipment system at runway end 28 after replacing the LPD antennas and RF Distribution Assembly. Tan Son Nhat International Airport had sent Official Dispatch No. 2450/CHKQTTSN dated July 8, 2024 requesting Air Traffic Technical Company Limited (ATTECH) to send personnel to coordinate and support for the Localizer equipment system at runway end 28 before and during flight inspection.

From July 14 to 18, 2024, ATTECH sent 02 technical experts, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy – Head of TSC Center and Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam technical staff – RSC Center, to Phu Quoc International Airport to coordinate with personnels of Tan Son Nhat International Airport and Phu Quoc International Airport, check and adjust the Localizer equipment system at runway end 28 before and during the flight inspection.
Although the weather during this time was not good with heavy rain all day, the Support Team (ATTECH) and Phu Quoc International Airport implemented and proposed solutions to overcome the bad weather problems. Checking and adjusting Localizer equipment at runway end 28 operates normally with the parameters in tolerant limits.

At the end of flight inspection on July 18, 2024, the ILS/DME equipment system at runway end 28 achieved with good results, the technical parameters were within the allowable range and meet ICAO standards. The technical personnels of Tan Son Nhat International Airport and Phu Quoc International Airport sincerely thank the technical support Team (ATTECH), enthusiasm in their works and highly appreciate ATTECH's technical Team to ensure for the Localizer station at the end runway 28 to meet the requirements of flight inspection in the first phase of 2024 – 2025 flight season.
